I’ve compiled a bunch of images; my own and otherwise to inspire me and help me focus on what goals I want to achieve in the new year.
I want to:
✿ GROW: In myself and my business. I want to expand S&K this year by introducing new products and homewares.
✿ DOCUMENT: I adore watching my friends and certain online folk grow, live, and share their journey. I want to do that. I know I have been asked a whole bunch to share my creative space, my personal life and just general behind-the-scenes things. I’m aiming to do that! I have been making mini vlogs over on my Instagram (@sandkhcrafts) and on TikTok but I would love to try and make longer vlogs on YouTube.
✿ GO OUTSIDE MORE: I am such a homebody. I love my space, I love being inside, I love a cozy cuppa on the couch and drawing while lying in my bed. I want to try and just sit outside more, to breathe it in, to take a spontaneous dip in the ocean with friends, I want to continue to feel the way I do after I’ve spent some time outside.
✿ SELF LOVE: Loving yourself is such a weird journey; society and social media have a way of coaxing your brain into thinking negatively about yourself and that sucks. I don’t want to do that; I want to stop comparing myself to others growth. I want to take more pictures of myself and not get embarrassed if I take them in public. I want to be gentler with myself and I’m getting there already.
✿ JOURNAL: I have always loved to journal – even throwing it back to my High School Musical notebook when I was in school and wrote about the gross boys, I thought were cute and what I got up to everyday. Now it’s looking a bit different – I use a cute kawaii journal from Mint My Desk (@mint_mydesk) who only have physical stores and are full of the coolest stationary. I am trying to implement journaling into my daily routine, either with a morning cuppa outside or an end of day cozy one in bed.
✿ MAKE MORE ART: This one is self-explanatory but I’m going to explain anyways. I want to make more art! I’m on such a roll lately and I just want to keep going and developing my art style.
✿ CONNECT: I want to dedicate time to my family and friends. I can get so in my head when I’m in the studio creating or when I’m feeling overwhelmed. I know I feel better after I spend time with my mum and sister our texting a friend for a coffee out or dropping into a pal’s house to catch up or making meals together. I really want to connect with my loved ones as well as fellow creatives.
